Michele McCain is the show’s standout and she may well be one of the performing wonders of the World. She has voice that could fill the grand canyon, but not in the Ethel Merman klaxon style. Instead, her huge voice has endless shadings; she can somehow roar like on angry walrus but musically and then go right ahead and caress a lyric with dark, tawny gloves. Over and over she Works magic. With “I’ve got a feeling I’m Fallin”. In a duet in “Honeysucle Rose”. In “Cash for your Trash”. In “Mean to Me”. In another duet in “Find out What They Like”. McCain’s wonderful voice is matched with uncomparable energy and wit. She has the makings of an extra-ordinary international star.
